Pinewild Country Club is a semi-private club located in a gated residential community a mile west of Pinehurst on Highway 211. Run by General Manager Chris Little, Pinewild gives you plenty of options with two 18 hole courses, Magnolia and Holly, along with a fun 9 hole par 3 course, Azalea.

The Magnolia course, designed by Gene Hamm, offers a traditional layout that is well manicured. The Holly course, designed by Gary Player, puts more risk/reward into play with water hazards and elevation changes.

The club offers excellent food and beverage facilities along with an extensive pro shop. The exceptional practice facility complets this quality club.

First in a Series

The Pinehurst name is most often linked to the magic of the Donald Ross #2 course. The other seven Pinehurst Resort courses with designers such as Ross, Fazio, Ellis Maples and Rees Jones, offer plenty of quality golf as well. What many golfer don’t realize is the tremendous number of other hidden gems located in the area.

Little River Farm

This Dan Maples design is located five miles from the Pinehurst traffic circle. Purchased by European golf resort owner Oceanico in late 2007, Troon Golf now runs the golf operation with typical superb course conditioning. The golf course plays out in an open, prairie like feel and comes back in a more forested environment with significant elevation change. Club Professional Marvin Waters runs a customer focused operation including food and beverage service.
